What should I bring?

For environmental and waste management concerns, you are encouraged to bring your own towel. For the best experience, guest are asked to bring a bathing suit, large towel, flip flops and a water bottle (yoga mats when required). Should you forget your towel, don’t worry, we have some to provide our guests for a fee.

We provide alkaline filtered water and herbal tea with every booking as well as a compostable bag for your wet bathing suit upon departure.

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your booking time to check in. If it is your first visit, your host will provide you with information regarding your experience and how to use our Hot-Cold-Rest Circuit. In an effort to provide everyone with the best wellness experience, we kindly ask that you respect the time of your reservation. If you are more than 20 minutes late, your appointment will be considered a no-show, cancellation policy applies.

Where can I park?

We have 2-3 parking spots available in our private driveway. There is free 120 min on-street parking. Parking ban in affect between September and April between 8am-4pm. Winter ban in affect as per city announcements during winter months, please check the city of Ottawa website if bad weather is expected.

If you’re attending with a friend, please consider carpooling! Not only will this free parking for others but also adds to the entire experience of arriving together.

Please be mindful not to park directly behind a guests already parked in the driveway upon your arrival.

Is this for women only?

No - this space is meant for anyone that can benefit from it, to support their health and wellbeing. Group experiences will specify when they are tailored for women only.

Are there washrooms for me to use?

Yes, for group experiences and personalized packages only. If you are only booking the sauna or gym space, we encourage you to use the washroom prior to arriving as the interior space is not included with sauna and gym space reservations. Of course we will not deny you the use should you need one.

Note: washrooms are not accessible, you must climb stairs.

Are cell phones permitted during my visit?

No. To ensure you have a relaxing and renewing experience, please leave your electronic devices on silence with your personal belongings. We have lockers (with lock) to safely lock away your personal belongings during your stay.

Is the Sauna & Steam Circuit a silent experience?

Our experiences are both relaxing and social, depending on the experience you’re booking. To ensure a deeply relaxing experience, our Sauna and Steam area is silent. You are welcome to socialize and chat on our outdoor patio. Exceptions can be made for private rentals and special events, where you are welcome to choose how you use the space.

How many people can the Sauna & Steam Circuit? 

We are limiting the capacity of our Sauna & Steam Circuit to a maximum of 5 guests at any given time for public bookings. You might be lucky to even have the space all to yourself. You are guaranteed a relaxing experience whether alone, with your partner, family or small group of friends. Sumer group experiences will accommodate groups of 10.

Who can use the Sauna & Steam Circuit?

Our services are inclusive services for adults over the age of 18. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive, positive and safe space for all our guests that is free from all discrimination

Wat are your reservation policies?

Guests must be 18 years and over (parental consent required for under 18).

You can make a booking online for up to 5 people.

Bookings can be made online. An email confirmation will be sent to you to confirm your reservation. If you do not see your preferred service and/or time of day available when booking, please contact us. We may have openings that are not visible on our booking site.

All private group reservations will be subject to a $500 security deposit which will be returned in full so long as there are no damages to the property.

What methods of payments do you accept?

When reserving online, a credit card number is required to reserve. Avoid paying unnecessary fees and pay by Email Money Transfers (EMT) or cash. Send us an email for more information.

Do you sell food or beverages at the spa? 

Yes, for personalized and group experiences only. We also offer complimentary herbal teas and alkaline filtered water during your visit. Organic food items can be added to customized experiences. All food items made on-site are made with fresh local organic and plant-based ingredients. Contact us to make arrangements.

Do you offer group bookings or private rentals?

Yes! To book a group visit (for groups of 2 people or larger) or to inquire about a 2.5-3 hour private rental of our Sauna Circuit, please email us at gen@theGCexperience.com with your name., phone number and your preferred booking day and times.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

Your appointment is a reservation of time put aside for you. We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rebook any appointments.

If your appointment is cancelled within the 24-hour window, there is a '50% Late Cancellation Fee', where 50% of your booked service fee will be charged. If for some reason you do not show up for your appointment there is a '100% No Show Fee', where the full price of the booking will be charged.

We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Out of respect for our time, if a cancellation occurs within 24 hours of your appointment time, 100% of the service fee will be charged. If you are unable to make the appointment, you are welcome to send a friend or family member in your place.

We ask that you arrive 5-10 min early for your appointment. We appreciate your business, in an effort to provide everyone with the best wellness experience, we ask that you kindly respect the time of your reservation.

What if I am late?

If you are running late for your appointment please contact us as soon as possible. We will try our best to accommodate the new start time, but In order for us to maintain protocols and schedules, we may have to reschedule your booking.

Are there any health restrictions when using the Sauna Circuit?

If you suffer from a cardiac or respiratory condition, high or low blood pressure, a health condition, or are over the age of 65, our Sauna Circuit should only be used with a physician’s approval. theGCexperience Ltd. cannot be held responsible for illness or injury due to guest negligence.

Are alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed during my spa visit?

No. The consumption of alcohol or drugs on the premises before, during, or directly after using the Sauna Circuit is not recommended. For your health, your host and service providers reserve the right to refuse entry or cease treatment if alcohol or drugs is suspected.

Can I visit if I am pregnant?

If you are pregnant, you may only receive energy healing, use the private gym space, and pool area. Pregnant women are strongly advised not to use the Sauna and cold water plunge. Sudden temperature changes from sauna and steam room use can lead to complications.
